ApoB (Apolipoprotein B)
Direct measurement of atherogenic lipoprotein particle count. Considered a superior cardiovascular risk marker to standard LDL cholesterol.
Why test this
ApoB counts the number of artery-damaging particles directly. A better predictor of cardiovascular risk than LDL-C for many individuals, especially those with discordant lipid patterns.
Optimal Range
< 80 mg/dL (optimal for low-risk); < 60 mg/dL (aggressive goal).
Note: “optimal” ranges from longevity research often differ from standard clinical reference ranges. Always interpret results with a qualified clinician familiar with your full picture.
